This song, like many others on this album, was written as a tool to practice playing non-diatonic scales in alternate tunings. This song (in open D) is entirely in Lydian dominant and focuses on a repeated Scott Joplin-influenced idea that I felt sounded especially nice with the parlor guitar-esque sound of the instrument. Unfortunately much of this tone was lost due to the low quality phone recording, but the melody (mostly) remains.
